This section of road is curvy and head on crashes seem too frequent. It's a great way to get around freeway traffic, but the accidents happen and there doesn't seem any efforts to make that road safer. I haven't used this road in recent years, but when I did, I wished there was a lane divider of some sort.
My sincere condolences to the young man's family.

Drivers tend to speed on CCR. Was this possibly a factor in the collision? Also, why is there no mention of the other driver's condition and/or injuries? After all, It was a head-on collision.
My condolences to the family.

Dear Mappleback Family,
We are deeply sorry for your loss of Geoff. A death of anyone is tragic and your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Once again we are sad and shocked as he was working in his passion and found himself. So unfair:(
