EBMUD continues call for voluntary 10% water cutback

The East Bay Municipal Utility District's board of directors voted Tuesday to ask their customers to continue voluntarily cutting their water use by 10% because the dry winter has reduced the amount of water in the agency's reservoirs.

Well I believe most of us have been DOING this at their earlier request, so I guess it continues. Far too many "thirsty" lawns in this area, though people are FINALLY "getting" that more hardscape is called for, drought and native plantings. Neighbors really need to pay attention to their automatic sprinkler systems - the one behind me does a splendid job of watering our "good neighbor" fence!
