12 San Ramon Valley campuses named 2014 California Distinguished School

Twelve San Ramon Valley elementary schools have received the 2014 California Distinguished School award, state officials announced Wednesday.

It would have been so helpful if you had told the reader where these schools are! "SRV" is not enough information.

Let's not get too excited here. In Redwood City the same award was given because someone filled out the application right. In actuality the middle school pregnancy rate hit the headlines and the school colors were changed to protect the kids from the huge Mexican gang influence! State scores were abysmal. When you dismiss the lower grades earlier in the fall to give the kids a head start from the older ones---nothing to be proud of and get an award.
