I would venture to say this "award"was planned to shine Desaulnier for the dems. It is all a big ploy to get his name in the media. Our whole family is going for Pham.

DeSaulnier has done a great deal for our valley. He is honest, compassionate, experienced, and works hard for all of us. We strongly support him in his election.

About 10 years a Grand Jury report was issued saying that the County's OPEB liabilities were 2.6 Billion dollars. Mark De Saulnier quickly bashed the report as musings of a bunch of old men who do not understand how County Government works. The Grand Jury turned out to be right..After 3 more reports in subsequent years David Twa, addressed the Contra Costa Taxpayers Association on Friday, saying the OPEB liabilities were now down to under one billion dollars. De Saulnier as a former County Supervisor is responsible for much of the budget issues we face today. Do we really want him to represent us?

If you check his campaign website you will see all the Labor Unions endorsing him. I would like to see business as usual( or more aptly non business as usual) stopped and vote in someone who doesn't have such a fiscally disastrous background.
