The San Ramon Valley’s four comprehensive high schools are set to hold their graduation ceremonies this Friday evening (June 12) at their respective campuses.

“Graduations are a special time in our school district,” San Ramon Valley schools superintendent Mary Shelton said. “For students and parents, it is the culmination of over 13 years of hard work and dedication. For staff, it reinforces our work in guiding students from kindergarten through 12th grade, preparing them for college and careers.”

“I congratulate the Class of 2015 and wish them the best,” Shelton added.

More than 2,300 seniors are due to graduate from San Ramon Valley high schools this spring, according to district officials.

Commencement ceremony schedule:

California High: Friday, 6 p.m. at Cal High athletic field. School board member Rachel Hurd and Toni Taylor, assistant superintendent of educational services, will represent the district.

Dougherty Valley High: Friday, 6 p.m. at DVHS athletic field. School board vice president Greg Marvel and Gary Black, assistant superintendent of facilities and operations, will be in attendance.

Monte Vista High: Friday, 6 p.m. at MVHS athletic field. Shelton and school board president Denise Jennison will represent the district.

San Ramon Valley High: Friday, 6 p.m. at SRVHS athletic field. Board member Ken Mintz and CJ Cammack, assistant superintendent of human resources, will be in attendance.

* Del Amigo Continuation High School held its ceremony June 3 at the San Ramon Valley High Performing Arts Center.

* Venture Independent Study School is scheduled to host its graduation next Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Dougherty Valley High Performing Arts Center, with Shelton and Marvel to represent the district.

  1. Wish the graduation nights or times could be different as we have family members at two different high schools….how do grandparents choose which grandchild to watch graduate?! We can’t be the only ones with this predicament.
