Join the Chabad of Danville for an evening with Israeli journalist Gil Hoffman presenting “Peace, Politics and Plutonium: An insider’s look at the mayhem in the Middle East and perspective on the U.S. election’s impact on Israel” next Monday (Sept. 26) at 7 p.m. at the Crow Canyon Country Club in Danville.

Hoffman was raised in Chicago and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University’s School of Journalism. Before moving to Israel, he wrote for the Miami Herald and Arizona Republic. A reserve soldier in the Israeli Defense Forces Spokesman’s Unit, he has lectured in seven countries and across the United States.

Called “the most optimistic man in Israel” by Israel Television, Hoffman has interviewed every major figure across the Israeli political spectrum, and is a regular analyst on CNN, Al-Jazeera and other news outlets. His work provides a behind-the-scenes look at the intrigue and humor in the Israeli political arena.

  1. This date and time is of course the first presidential debate that runs from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. I guess no thought was given to that as this will effect turn out among those that take our government seriously.
