7 years? Well that sends a poor message. I can hold up 4 banks, put countless people lives in jeopardy, and get a slap on the wrist.

Madoff got 150. Nassar got 175. Why not give this idiot at least 10?

Not surprised at all from our liberal justice system. I guess since nobody got hurt - they ruled no harm no foul. He’ll get out on good behavior to steal again.

Of course, all you commenters fulminating bout how seven years in prison is a "slap on the wrist" have served time in prison, so you know what you're talking about, right? Or at least visited one or two? I mean, you wouldn't just be mouthing off from the comfort of your recliners with no idea what you're talking about, would you?

<I've been in prisons. I guarantee you would not consider one month in prison a "slap on the wrist if you had ever been to one.>

First of all I am comment #1 and secondly the time I have done would make your sentence look like a picnic.

To Peter, just the fact that you said you have done prison time tells me that you’re not a true convict, and more than likely did a year tops in county.

Ahh we have been blessed by another message from the troll himself, Mr. Peter Kluget. A frequent visitor to these boards. PATHETIC.

I personally love these articles because

1) It's great seeing all the hooting baboons in Danville/Alamo/San Ramon that want us to return to hanging, drawing, and quartering all shoplifters and, hey, while we're at it, anyone whose pants aren't cinched up to their nipples

2) It's great knowing that all of these articles shave 10 minutes off the lives of said hooting baboons - whose hearts are now racing as they imagine how in 7 years they will have to defend their ugly beige houses from all the scary newly-freed criminals freely wandering around their gated neighborhoods

Keep it up Danville Express! And keep it up, "LIBERAL(!!!)" court system that refuses to take my daily calls about enforcing 5 years of hard labor for all Trader Joes cashiers who don't curtsy to me.

My comment was 2 sentences. Yours was 3 paragraphs. Who wasted more time? That is true stupidity.

Ah, you have trapped me dear neighbor! I must admit that I am truly stupid!

I wasted three whole minutes crafting all of five sentences when I could easily have been following your lead and.... Getting very mad about every cultural change that has taken place in the last 30 years? Playing golf? Getting mad about golf? I don't know what you do, sorry.

But just to humor me, try rereading what I wrote - I never said anything about you wasting time (that would probably be a whole 'nother 3 paragraphs! Woah!) So, first I said you and the other grumpy Little League Coach Parents are bloodthirsty primates - glad THAT was clear - and then I wrote:

"It's great knowing that all of these articles shave 10 minutes off the lives of said hooting baboons - whose hearts are now racing as they imagine how in 7 years they will have to defend their ugly beige houses from all the scary newly-freed criminals freely wandering around their gated neighborhoods"

Now granted, it's no Tom Clancy novel or book about the civil war that you got for Christmas, but bear with me:

Your heart is racing because you are imagining yourself defending your ugly beige house - that mental exercise and stress is what is shaving 10 minutes off your life. Not the act of writing comments on Danville express. That is a noble, invigorating experience.

Thank you for the opportunity to clarify my truly stupid thoughts.

Wondering why is a registered user.

He got 7 years for holding up banks. He didn't kill anyone, thank God. The cop's wife in Pleasanton gets 3 years for driving drunk and killing a 3 year old baby and injuring his family. Brock Turner gets 6 months for raping a girl. When will the people of California stand up, vote these liberal idiots out and vote in people who understand the word justice, know when someone is non-rehabilitative and give them the time in prison that they deserve? This practice of giving these horrible criminals a slap on the wrist, yes, I consider these sentences a slap on the wrist, and then unleashing them on the innocent public has got to stop. I for one am tired of it.

Yes I'm very sad that I don't get to live in a town where everyone is itching to form a lynch mob at any moment.

I, for one, have missed Mr. a/k/a Kluget around here, especially in the RC. C'mon down.

Tom: We have different ideas of a troll. A fire breathing anonymous, silly screen name IS a troll.

Oh, the high speed rail to nowhere that voters keep voting for? Hum.

and boy are we off topic. Note catcher coming.

Well then, one more can't hurt - the RC is a quart low of your brand of trolls since the most recent self-exile of the Litigious American.
