Thanks for the useful tips! As an affluent community, our collective carbon footprint tends to be higher than average. Thanks for reminding us to be mindful about our impact.
Other tips to consider include reducing food waste, eating less meat, and resolving to make one less trip by airplane next year (or offsetting our air travel carbon emissions).
Have you seen the UC Berkeley consumption-based GHG inventory tool? We can zoom in see how our consumption-based emissions compare to other neighborhoods. Loads a little slowly but it's amazing:
