BART able to balance budget with new federal funding; nine-figure deficits still loom

Federal relief funding is expected to cover BART's previously projected budget deficit, preventing the transit agency from having to lay off staff or reduce service, the agency's budget officials said at the board meeting last week.

Throwing tax money at the problem always seems to be the "solution". How about being accountable with salaries and pensions and having people who know how to run a business instead of some overpaid bureaucrats? Just a suggestion....
