Californians reporting a mental health crisis would be connected with trained counselors instead of police dispatch through a new hotline under proposed legislation introduced last week by Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan.

What a noble idea. Curious, what are these "mental health experts" going to do when their client charges them with a metal rod like Mr. Hall did?
