So now, “the science”, or at least the CDC’s version of it, isn’t worth following.... Keeping various semi-lockdown rules in place until 6/15 is entirely arbitrary, and NOT supported by data. I think there are two reasons. First, CA officials don’t like to relinquish power (as John Belushi said in Animal House, “It’s not over until WE say it’s over!”). Two, the teachers unions told Newsom to keep things semi-shut down until after the school year was over. June 15th is a politically-set date, not a scientifically-set date. CA might be the only state in the country with people who are so easily led....

I completely agree. The "science" is magically going to change on that particular date?
