NFL assistant coach Greg Knapp dies from injuries sustained in San Ramon traffic collision

New York Jets assistant coach Greg Knapp died on Thursday from injuries sustained five days earlier in San Ramon when his bicycle and a vehicle collided while traveling on Dougherty Road. He was 58.

I know that stretch of Dougherty and have ridden it northbound countless times. The bike lane is very wide and well marked and is as safe as any bike lane could ever be. What this kid was doing in that bike lane can only be attributed to inattention to his driving or possibly a mechanical failure. If the cops find out that he was on his cell phone texting or whatever, then what he did is illegal, immoral and reprehensible. [removed]
