“Both are on supervised release for previous theft-related convictions.”
Then why not give out their names? One of them is on parole, while the other was wearing a ankle monitor because he is on felony probation. In other words, both criminals are CONVICTED FELONS, but this local rag refuses to give out their names. Why?
Because of race? Because of social status? Because of the current political climate?

Hopefully, these 2 felons will not get a free pass via the current "catch and release" system that has replaced actual justice in this state and many others.

Malcolm Hex: I've seen this reported elsewhere, and it's the same in those press accounts as well. So I would not blame the reporting for the lack of the names of the perpetrators. As you postulate, in your three possible reasons, collectively criminals are the new "protected" class in our society. Somehow our "Just Us System" seeks to protect criminals with the idea that since they are "assumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law" they deserve to have their identities hidden for a long as possible. I mean just look at how the "system" covered for Jussie Smollett right up to the guilty verdicts yesterday? Today, some animals are more important than others.

Oh yes... The French actor, Juicy Smollett. Justice for Juicy! And the left is oddly quiet. But let us not forget what the current president said right after Juicy told one of his many his lies:
"What happened today to must never be tolerated in this country. We must stand up and demand that we no longer give this hate safe harbor; that homophobia and racism have no place on our streets or in our hearts. We are with you, Jussie (Juicy)."
The current vice president stated:
"Jussie Smollett (Juicy) is one of the kindest, most gentle human beings I know. I'm praying for his quick recovery. This was an attempted modern day lynching. No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or color of their skin. We must confront this hate."
Sorry Paul, I saw an opening and took it :-)

Hark! Jordan San Felipe is the latest criminal to be nabbed in the Nordstrom mass theft incident. Good! And good that his name is mentioned. However, the names of two men who were arrested for allegedly stealing more than $3,000 in tools from the Home Depot in San Ramon were not. Why?
The two clowns in the Home Depot incident were on supervised release for previous theft-related convictions - wow, imagine that? And according to police, one suspect, age 29, is on parole for weapons and stolen property-related charges and is wearing an ankle monitor. The second suspect, age 30, is on felony probation for possession of stolen property.
So, one criminal gets his name in the paper, while the other two do not. Why?
