SRVUSD schools to lift indoor mask requirement March 14

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District Superintendent's Office on Tuesday announced an upcoming shift from required indoor masking to a recommendation, slated to take effect the week of March 14.

What decisions can Dr. Malloy actually make? Seems all major SRVUSD decisions these past two years have not originated from him but have instead just been him doing whatever the higher ups be it public health or county education at Contra Costa County tells him. What's the point? Why not just have the county run the district and save a pile of money?
