"Danville has no term limits!
Yeah, our "civic leaders" will likely be given "state funerals" when they "leave office."
Ditto for our School Board, where some members, like their "brothers and sisters" on the Town Council have been there so long that it is quite likely that their grandchildren are now attending school in the district. But it's most likely due to "voter apathy" or a lack of interest. As they say, " you get the government you vote for." But people should realize that those who have "taken up residence" on the Town Council and the School Board are quite likely there because they have an agenda, and not because they are there to "do good!" Turnover in government is what was envisioned by the framers of our nation's Constitution. Sadly we have allowed that vision to disappear. BTW in the US Senate, which is comprised of 100 "members," 54 are over the age of 65 ( 3 are 88, 1 is 87, one is 82, two are 80, and 7 are over 75).
Commercial Pilots have to retire at 60!

Term limits are a double edged sword. Why get rid of capable people especially at the local level?
SRVUSD Board and Town Council members do a good job as evidenced by high scores and generally happy employees. Danville is consistently ranked the safest town in CA with finances in great shape and the downtown area attracting people from all over the Bay Area. Let the voters decide who stays in office or if a recall in needed. Reference S F School Board or LAX DA.
