Around the Valley: Influencing elections

A close look at San Ramon's 2022 candidate campaign finance filings set off alarm bells for me. It appears special interests and outside money are creeping in to influence local elections while drowning out the voice of the residents.

In the perfect world we would not have large outside donations influence local or Statewide elections. Unfortunately that ship has sailed. We have had big money donors such as Soros and Zuckerberg influences elections that are not even in their own communities.
The article was interesting but it really was only part news and part opinion and speculation.
Just an observation.
