enclosed combustion devices (ECDs) to burn off the excess natural gas? sounds like a huge waste of natural gas? I wonder how much, and could it be recycled.

Curious. These combustion chambers look like gas turbine's. Where do these go when testing is done? And they are noisey. Are they permanent fixtures being tested for other locations? There's eight of them here now. Still don't understand their purpose other than it seems you're saying their used to pressure check the natural gas lines under this portion of San Ramon. Why not just place pressure gauges at the sites of concern instead of jet engines?
