Pleasanton considering three years of water rate increases, starting at 30% hike in November

The Pleasanton City Council is set for an initial discussion on proposed increases to the city's water rates, starting at 30% on Nov. 1, during a special meeting Tuesday night at the city's Operations Services Center on Busch Road.

Do most people see the irony of the big push to turn our suburds into high density communities while our infrastructure and resources, such as water, is inadequate even for the current population?
And that is just one example of Sacramento mandates gone wrong.
Count the number of freeway lanes on 680, 580, and 24 while you are in stop and go traffic. We are running out of room to add more lanes and alternatives such as BART are not real alternatives for most of us. We need a stronger Governor and stronger politicians who push back and represent us.
