Yeah, good ol’ Mark DeSaulnier (Calif.). One of 17 members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus who voted against a resolution to honor US-Israel relationship and expand the Abraham Accords.
It was just a few days ago that one of DeSaulnier’s fellow Democrats, Pramila Jayapal, stated the following: “I want you to know that we have been fighting to make it clear that Israel is a racist state.”
Open mouth and insert foot. What a tool. But DeSaulnier believes in doublespeak as stated in the following: “I support Israel as a democratic, Jewish state and join with many who are commemorating its 75th anniversary.” Sure you do.
DeSaulnier voted against a resolution to honor US - Israeli
relationships but then states he supports Israel. Pathetic.

The United States should reaffirm its support of Israel BUT it should not support Netanyahu's attempt to end freedom and democracy in that country.

DeSaulnier comes off as a bit two-faced pertaining to the support of Israel but perhaps his caution has more to do with distancing himself from the policies and actions of Netanyahu which border on totalitarianism. Millions of Israeli citizens cannot be wrong in their suspicions of his true motives which are clearly anti-democratic.

By restricting the jurisdiction of the Israeli Supreme Court, 'Bibi' will now have a better chance of avoiding a corruption conviction.
Hungary, Turkey, and Israel are democracies in name only.
