Good police work on the part of Officer Ireland! I'm unsure, however, whether misdemeanor charges will deter Carpenter from future tagging. I'll hope for the best, that the judge sentences him to community service cleaning off a lot of graffiti, and changes his mind about the wisdom of defacing the area.

Good to see the little (edited) got caught. Too bad he won't learn anything from it as his penalty will be laughable. To think there are young men his age fighting for their country and this (edited) is vandalizing it.

Thank you, Danville Weekly, for sharing such a newsworthy story. What an incredible act of heroism! I'd like to personally present the dog with a special doggie treat, and Irelend with the doughnut of his choice.

We can all sleep easier tonight knowing that our streets are finally safe. What would we do without the DPD?
