This battle was lost years ago. We have over 12 million illegal immigrants in this country already, feeding them, schooling them, and providing health care and after school programs for them (let's not forget incarcerating them at a huge cost). This country is broke, bankrupt, we owe nearly 20 trillion dollars, that will never be paid off, until a war settles the crisis, or China claims US property, they already were sold port property by Feinstein. Still we want to accelerate our demise by allowing more undereducated impoverished illegal immigrants to this country. Why bother to even have borders?

Hey Swalwell--it isn't 11 million---try 25 million---and now the uneducated say they have a "credible fear" of drug cartels and they get oppressed refugee status and put up in a hotel at my cost?? WTF? Hope you think for our nation and not feed off Pelosi's excrement like your predecessor.

Immigration reform with stricter enforcement is the sensible, humane way forward. The folks here should have a path to citizenship, that makes sense .. it is ridiculous to send them back, it is not doable.

Why don't the posters here offer something original and constructive besides Faux News talking points!

Why can't immigration reform be a birth certificate and a social security card for these individuals? Why does it have to be so hard?! These immigrants want a new life and they can have one in America. Why does our government treat these people (and us) so badly and put up so many unnecessary roadblocks?

An immigrant's history before getting here doesn't matter. As mentioned in an earlier post, our borders are NOT secured so let's do the right thing. If we accept everyone and give them birth certificates and social security cards then they can pay taxes too. Most immigrants just want a NEW LIFE. Why stand in their way of happiness and freedom?
