Tis The Season

I know most people are more interested in football right now and Superbowl is just around the corner on Feb 6th but 'tis the season' to player soccer soon. If you are new to the area or you want to know more about the programs available in the local community, the Mustang and San Ramon Soccer Leagues have everything available.

Mustang Soccer
Sign ups for Division 1 tryouts are open. To sign up for a tryout, go to: Web Link
Scroll down to ‘Miscellaneous Resources’ and click on the Register link for the appropriate age/gender. Please make sure to enter the player’s date of birth, the e-mail and phone number then they can reach you in case of changes. There is no cost to tryout.

San Ramon Soccer
Competitive LEVEL Player Placement for 2011 U8 -U10 players will be held Monday Jan 31st-Feb 3rd Please check out the website for specific information and how to sign up Web Link
COMP LEVEL Player Placement for 2011 U12 - U13 will be held in March. 2011;
U14 and older placements will be held in April, (after the regular season ends).

Blue Star Moms.
The blue Star moms of Danville have a drop zone event on Saturday, January 22 10:00am-3:00pm at Lafayette Safeway, 3540 Mt Diablo Blvd, Lafayette,for more information,go to Web Link

Danville Sycamore Rotary Club recognized chief of police, Mr.Steve Simpkin with a Paul Harris Fellowship award. The Fellowship was established in 1957 to remember Paul Harris and is awarded as an honor for commitment and leadership in service to the community. Chief of Police Mr.Steve Simpkin was given this award because of his commitment, leadership and demonstrating high integrity. The Danville Police Department apprehended the suspect's of the Wells Fargo bank robbery earlier this month.

5000 dictionaries are being distributed to sixth grade students in Zambia 55 of these books were donated by Danville Sycamore Rotary club. This is the first time that these children have ever owned a book. For more information on how you can get involved in Rotary in your area, go to Web Link
