Save the dates 2 fun events are coming up just around the corner.

Danville Children's Guild are having their 3rd Annual Poker tournament on Saturday April 30th 7-11pm at Greenbrook Club House. Donation to play is $100.Adult beverages and Hors D’oeuvres will be provided. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Moment by Moment.

Moment by Moment is a 501(c)3 non profit that was established in 2006. Their goal is from behind the camera lens, capture the hope, courage, determination and love of families experiencing a potential life limiting illness of a child. Professional Photographers throughout California collaborate with Moment by Moment to capture images of these special children -- lives filled with spirit, hope and courage. Referrals are made through staff members at the California Children's Hospitals. At no time is the family, hospital or hospice every charged for the photographer's time, the prints or their delivery.

In 2008, Moment by Moment received the prestigious Dr. Grollman Award for achievement through the Children's Hospice International. Moment by Moment has also been the recipient of a Northern California Jefferson Award for Public Service. Web Link

The Danville/Sycamore Valley Rotary Club will hold its 21st Annual Film, Food, & Wine Festival fundraiser at the Blackhawk Auto Museum on May 5th 5.30-8.30pm This year’s theme Casablanca will feature the classic movie with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. Set in Africa during the early days of World War II: During the movie presentation, information about the film will be presented. In addition there will be a small live auction featuring a few special items.
Local restaurants and wineries will sample their finest products and music will make this year’s event very special. With the focus this year to bring friends and have a wonderful time.
All proceeds from sponsors and guests will go to Rotary’s Charitable Foundation and be used for local, national and international projects. Individual donations are $40 or ask if you would like to consider sponsorship opporunities.
