Packs With Love

Original post made by Elaine Betts, Danville, on Aug 9, 2011

Madison and MacKenzie are looking for your help. As many children are getting ready to go back to school and parents are taking them to the stores to by new school supplies, there are many who have no supplies at all. Packs with Love is a project that Madison and MacKenzie Mascali have started. They are collecting new and used backpacks and school supplies for those who are less fortunate.
“ We see that others don’t have school supplies and it is easy to give to others” said Madison after they had presented at Danville Sycamore Rotary’s breakfast meeting. If you have a moment to buy something extra or go through the closet and look to see what you have left over from last year that is in good condition, then they have a place for you to donate it to. Until Friday August 12th in Stoneridge Mall you can take the items and place them in a bin by the Information Desk, or alternatively email them at and arrange for a pick up. Items requested are backpacks, pencils, crayons, paper, notebooks, erasers etc., the only thing they can’t take is anything sharp like scissors and pencil sharpeners.
