Dear Editor,

I loved the picture! Do you have to call the tower to get permission to taxi and take off? We saw the CCN story during our stay in Sorrento Italy and had an amazingly good laugh.

Dear Editor,

News service technology research has been tracking Total’s acquisition of Sunpower based on “SunPower Corporation operates as a subsidiary of Total Gas & Power USA S.A.S.” Total is a large French Energy company and Sunpower is the provider of SRVUSD’s Solar Power Generation Stations.

Such research tracked the following industry commentary:

"To ensure the long-term viability of solar energy, the marketplace requires global integrated industrial players that are financially stable and committed to advancing cutting-edge technology," states SunPower President and CEO Tom Werner.

“This (Total Acquistion) is exactly what SunPower needed to compete with the Chinese manufacturers that are getting so much support from their government,” Kevin Landis, Sivest Group, said in an interview. “It also allows SunPower to double down on the technology improvements they’ll need to compete in the long run.” Sivest, also based in San Jose, held about 17,000 shares of SunPower at the start of the year. The stock has gained 72 percent this year.

“Our (Total’s) view is SunPower is more efficient on rooftops. This is where we’re going to reach grid parity so this is going to boost rooftop growth.”

NOW, as a result of news service research, we have qualified SRVUSD installations as part of Sunpower’s Utility and Power Plant group development and not the long term focus of Total Gas & Power for Sunpower. In interviews by news service researchers with Total’s corporate operations in France, Total’s intent is to integrate IP acquisitions by Total with Sunpower IP for development of light-weight rooftop panels with elemental light gathering technology that eliminates tracking superstructures.

As news services discussed their research results with CNN, a plan has emerged to do more segments on solar technology advancements and their installations. CNN will start with advanced technology installations in Europe and explain why USAmerica continues to lag behind in overall solar installations within communities. In such a story, SRVUSD’s solar power generation stations built within community neighborhoods will be noted as cause for communities to question such installations and resist their construction.
