This is a good one is commenting because no one cares until it is too late and than all you brain dead folks will complain.

Congress: Mark DeSaulier will win because of all you lazy uninformed voters.

State Assembly: Newell Arnerich will win because of all you lazy uninformed voters.

Contra Costa County: Unopposed naturally will all win because no one has the guts to run for office and because of you lazy voters.

County Superintendent of Schools: Who really one cares, not even me.

We get what we all deserve...all self serving idiots.

Just watch the results and see how wrong I am...

Thanks for listening, Julia Pardini from Alamo.

April is a socialist. Even JFK would not recognize the current dem party.

You are right about your hypothesis of what JFK would and would not recognize in the current "dem party". It no longer supports a South Carolinian Senator, Governor and one-time democratic presidential candidate (1948) like Strom Thurmond. A man so steeped in dixiecratic fervor that he 'famous' stated "Segregation in the South is honest, open and aboveboard. Of the two systems, or styles of segregation, the Northern and the Southern, there is no doubt whatever in my mind which is the better." Yes, the Democratic party did change quite a bit some (no nearly) 50 years ago today.

Now, to extend your pronouncements of one's preferred governing system, do you really think that the 16th President of the United States would recognize the party he brought forth? How about the 26th? I will give you that the 30th would have felt pretty comfortable at somewhere like CPAC and the 31st would have felt like he found Heaven on Earth.

I just wanted to post a footnote to this article.
While it is true that a total of six candidate made it to be qualified to be listed on the June 3rd. ballot, that doesn't preclude others from running.
I for one have pulled papers to run as a Write-in candidate. (What is wrong with this picture? Several of my REQUIRED endorsement signatures were deemed "Invalid" to qualify me to be listed on the ballot, but it is perfectly OK, not to require any ID verification to vote.)
I am running because I don't like the candidates both major political parties have endorsed. They both are in favor of Obama care and illegal immigration.
The Dem candidate has voted many times to tax the working class more, passed bills that kill the economy, and authored the "Bathroom" bill.

The Republican candidate has pledged the represent, the people from Vietnam.

In an open letter to the Vietnamese community presently on his website, the Judge explained why he wants to run for Congress.

"I run for the U.S. Congress... because I believe that the free Vietnamese-Americans and the people of Vietnam should have a voice on the international forum; and at this time, the forum is the U.S. Congress."

The citizens of CoCoCo. have a clear choice in voting for the right candidate, who will best represent their best interest.

Mark DeSaulnier is responsible for forcing cities like Danville to redesignate land for high-density housing. It is a state power-grab, pure and simple, to fulfill the social re-engineering goals of those in power. Developers like Robert Storer, Danville's construction contractor/mayor, love such redesignations because they can make lots of $$$ by building such housing projects in towns like Danville where they never could get them passed otherwise. Indeed, Storer has built a high-density project in Danville already. When he was a Planning Commissioner, he got it approved. No wonder he is endorsing DeSaulnier.

Arnerich masquerades as an "environmentalist", then approves the Gulag KB Homes project for Elworthy Ranch Agricultural land and the environmentally destructive SummerHill project on Magee Ranch Ag. lan. What a phony! Also, in 2000 he and the other Council members put Measure S on the ballot to defeat a citizens' initiative called Measure R. Arnerich promised that Measure S gave the public the right to vote on residential development projects on Ag. land. When the Elworthy and Magee projects got approved by Council, he then denied the public's right to vote on them. And now he wants our vote for Assembly?? His hutzpah knows no bounds.

DeSaulnier will continue to feed off the public trough like his predecessor George Miller. They're all blow hards, and none of them really gives a hoot about the little people. They are in bed with the unions and lobbyists. They say what you want to hear, and then do something different later on. They suck up to you with their "town hall meetings" which are a total joke. I'm sick of them all. Vote for new people who have never held a public office before and stop these term limit-dodging clowns from moving from one legislative body to the next! It shouldn't be a career, it should be public service - short term and back into to the private sector.

I use to love the elections, all of them...Have never missed voting once in all my years in ANY election. I have to say though, it's a disappointment in recent years, though of course I exercise my right and do my duty? The political climate is more difficult to deal with. All that said? April seem's to be of the mindset no one cares BUT her and further? Heaven forbid, one should vote for someone SHE is against. C'mon girl, grow up, this is the real world. This is where our equality shows in our voting power AND? EACH of us and our right to vote for WHOM we choose.
She needs to take her "doom and gloom" back under that rock she crawled out from under and stop with the whine.

CA is essentially a one-party state now. That's a very dangerous situation to be in. I will be voting for Catherine Baker, the Republican candidate for State Assembly. She has never held public office before, and unlike Arnerich, Sbranti, and Glazer, the Democratic candidates, she is not in the pockets of the unions or a lackey for Jerry Brown. She will bring some much-needed perspective to the Assembly's Democratic majority.

My name is Jason Ramey and I am a candidate for Congress Dist. 11. I have never ran before this election. I chose to run this time because like many of you, I am completely FED UP with these career politicians! Its time to get some new blood into politics and clean up DC! I have two small children in our public school system and am appalled at how horrible these schools are run! I pledge to fix these first and foremost.

I am just like the rest of you. Struggling to live in the bay area where housing is over priced, taxes are outrageous and these politicians sit back and don't do a damned thing!

I hope that come election day, you will join me in voting OUT these career politicians!
