Interesting, as it seems there is already a big shortage and many openings for certificated subs needed for long-term 30-day certificated positions, including this sample:

Resource Specialist - Elem., Middle and High School;
Counselor - High School;
Virtual Academy Positions - K-12;
Social Worker; Elementary - All Grades;
Foods Class - Middle School;
Spanish; Math; Science; & English.

That's just a sample of what the sub office is currently seeking. Pay was $250 for full day and $125 for half day starting 3/31/2021 of the pandemic. I'm sure money is a big motivator to have more subs and higher quality subs as well. I think it's a mistake to lower the pay back down by $75 a day. It will be difficult for subs that were getting paid $250 a day to go down to $175 a day, a $75 cut. The article doesn't mention what the subs will receive for half days.
